Think of Stewart as a personal assistant, concierge, executive assistant, office manager, travel coordinator, publicist, researcher, project manager, and life organizer—all working together through one intelligent system.
Unlike today's AI assistants, Stewart is built around a Trust Score—a user-defined framework that determines how much authority Stewart has in different areas of a person's life. Users decide what Stewart can recommend, automate, or execute, ensuring they remain in complete control while benefiting from increasingly capable assistance.

We're looking for a founding technical partner who wants to help build a category-defining AI company from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Design and build Stewart's backend architectur
Develop secure authentication and user account systems
Build Stewart's long-term memory and user context engine
Integrate leading AI models and orchestration frameworks
Develop task, calendar, project, communication, and Daily Brief systems
Create APIs for future web, desktop, and mobile applications
Design scalable database architecture and cloud infrastructure
Implement enterprise-grade security and privacy standards
Collaborate directly with the founder on product strategy and roadmap
Help build and lead Stewart's future engineering team
Requirements
3+ years building production software
Strong backend development experience (Python preferred)
Experience with REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and databases
Familiarity with AI models, agent frameworks, or LLM integrations
Experience designing scalable software architecture
Strong understanding of authentication and security
Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills
Excited about creating products that genuinely improve people's lives
Bonus Experience
LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI platforms
Vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
AI memory architectures
Mobile application development
Subscription software (SaaS)
Consumer products
Startup or founder experience

Compensation will consist primarily of a meaningful ownership stake in Stewart, with equity structured around your experience, technical leadership, long-term commitment, and overall contribution to the company's success.
Limited project-based compensation may be available during the early development stages, but our goal is to build a founding team that shares in the long-term value they help create.
